It is quite encouraging to present references about Dahanu and the nearby towns and villages made in old articles, documents, gazettes, maps and other related sources. One would be surprised to know that probably Dahanu, as it is called today, was referred upon with different names at different times by the rulers, writers, historians and cartographers.
